Gowalla 3.0 unites Facebook, Foursquare check-ins A major update to this app takes a big step towards ending the location-based services battle, as you can now check-in to Foursquare and Facebook Places along with Gowalla. Plenty of other new features and polish make this update worth a look. Toshiba laptop drive embraces new security features Toshiba has become the latest storage vendor to build Opal Security Subsystem Class (Opal SSC) specification into its self-encrypting drive (SED). Ported by Virtual Programming, the game takes place in the mythical land of Ardania, set 500 years after the events of the popular original title released in 2000. Developed by Andy Wise and at just $1.99, its sure to give you and your math-minded friends plenty of entertainment. Remains of the Day: iPads for everyone One Mozilla employee has harsh words for Apple, the iPad is making friends in all walks of life, and Apple's got a new/old selling point for the holiday season. BBC iPlayer to begin global rollout on iPad The BBC's iPlayer on-demand catch-up service is launching around the world within the next year, and its first stop will be on the ipad.
