In Less Than 12 Months"
Hi Korsaan,
Welcome to Part 5 of your email course.
By Ricky Knight, Lifestyle Secret Ltd
Korsaan,
So far I have given you a ton of priceless information,
but it's only good if you use it. If you've managed
to complete every step along the way so far then
you're on the way to a successful Internet Business.
If you have skipped steps so far and not taken any action
then I encourage you to go back and start again.
Part 5 is all about generating traffic and the first thing I
want to look at is Free Traffic. It's all too easy to throw
a load of money at google ads but you don't need to
do this straight away.
Marketing Articles
There is definitely a knack to writing good articles that
are then posted online, and this is a formula that I have
found works. Keep it to around 500 words. Use your
keyword in the title (this helps your google ranking).
Use your keyword 3-4 times in the article in particular
in your opening paragraph and again in your closing
paragraph.
Place a link to your site in the authors bio at the end eg.
Article by Ricky Knight. If you liked this article then you'll
love the f.r.e.e content available at www.perfectgolf.com.
Once your article is written then post it on either
www.ezinearticles.com or www.goarticles.com.
To get your article in as many places as possible it's worth
using a multiple submission service. I have found these to be
the best www.submityourarticle.com. Again, it's easy to use
and your article will be posted to hundreds of sites within an
hour or two. Great leveraging.
Create a Blog
Short for web log. Your blog can be about anything that you
want. You can then use it as a hub to direct traffic to your
latest resale right products.
My advice would be to set up a blog on www.blogger.com.
It's quick, it's easy and best of all it's F.R.E.E. Follow the
wizard instructions from the home page and try and include
your keyword when setting up your name.
Getting best use from your blog will require you to keep it fresh
and updated with regular content. You could also link your blog
in some of your articles that you write. Again this helps with
the popularity and google ranking.
There are over 400 million users of facebook now and this is still
growing by the day. That is one hell of an audience. If you haven't
got a page then set one up www.facebook.com. Assuming that you
have, it's time to start getting proactive with making friends.
There are loads of different techniques that you can use and it's
probably worth doing a google search to find free articles
posted at sites like www.ezine.com. There are also other sites
like www.sachistudio.com that have regular articles on getting the
most from Facebook.
YouTube
Videos are a great way to market your product especially if it's a
'How To' product. You can create a video by going to a site like
www.camstudio.com. Then just publish it on YouTube. Easy.
Affiliate Marketing
Get others to promote and sell your products for you. This is another
great example of leveraging your time. Sure, you have to give away most
of your revenue but you're not having to spend any time or money
yourself.
You could promote your affiliate offer within your ebook. Within the content
towards the back you could say "if you like the content in this book then
why not earn money by selling it yourself. I'll give you 60% of the sale price
for every sale that you make through clickbank."
Once these unpaid traffic systems are bringing you in a regular stream
then it will be time to consider paid traffic systems to step it up a level.
The most popular and widely used is Pay Per Click.
Pay Per Click
This is very popular and the best know platform is Google Adwords.
Just set up an account on www.google.com/adwords and follow the
wizard instructions.
Some advice regarding your adword account:
Set a daily budget of $25. This way you won't be spending too much and
you can monitor how traffic is converting.
Target no more than 3 keywords for each ad. This allows there to be a
more focused approach to your marketing that you can then monitor easier.
Put your keywords in your ad title (the headline of your ad). If you do
this then it will show up in bold and make it stand out.
Bid low at first. No more than 10-20 cents. You won't get tons of traffic this
way but it will allow you to monitor how things are converting before ramping
up you bid spend.
Offline Advertising such as national newspaper
You could place a small ad in a national paper in the 'business opportunity'
Section. It only needs to be a headline grabbing sentence offering a F.R.E.E
report or course that then takes them to your squeeze page. Then follow
them up with the autoresponder in the normal way.
All of the above techniques will start directing traffic to your site and
your business will rapidly start growing. My advice would be to do a
bit of everything for each product that you put to market. It's a bit of
work but again like so much in this business once set up it will run on
autopilot.
The next part of the course is about the importance of setting goals.
Until then,
