I'm sure you must have read or heard about SEO that you want to
cover your ears and run away from more education about it. I can
understand if you have lots of fear or questions about the value
of SEO.
Before I go into that, here are some things you need to know about
SEO briefly:
- On-page optimization factors:
Things like how you optimize tags, content, formatting,
keyword proximity, site map, and links on your web page.
This also includes whether you use your keywords at the top
of your page and in your "alt" tags (both good things).
- Off-page optimization factors:
This is basically SEO work done outside of the website page,
which is mainly considered as a link building and increasing
popularity among visitors. This method is by far the most
important. Things like .Link building methods through article
submissions, press releases, blog posting, blog commenting,
forum posting, forum commenting, social media marketing, one way
link backs to your website, reciprocal linking, and so much more.
Basically, off-page optimization is about building links. Do NOT
build backlinks using link farms or purchase links. Google knows
about this and you can get into serious trouble for doing it.
Google might now know the latest tricks or black hat methods,
but once they catch up you will have everything to lose.
