If like me you’ve been trying to make sure you choose the most appropriate Windows Phone to suit your needs (I plumped for the HTC Mozart) then you’ll really appreciate a New Year’s helping hand from indy8 at ElektricForest.

The chart (which you can click on to view full size) compares the entire current batch of Windows Phone handsets and give you handy and easy to understand graphics to compare the width, weight, Rom and Ram capacity, Camera, Thickness, Screen size and type, Battery life and height.

The handsets covered are the Dell Venue Pro, HTC HD7, HTC 7 Mozart, HTC 7 Pro, HTC Surround, HTC 7 Trophy, LG Optimus 7, LG Optimus 7Q (Quantum),Samsung Focus and Samsung Omnia 7.

He does admit there’s one small error in that the memory for the Dell Venue Pro is really 256Mb and not 512Mb, but he compiled much of this information before the handsets were available to buy.

I have found this a very handy guide, it’s not changed my mind and instead made me realise that on things like weight and battery life the Mozart scores rather well.

Congratulations to indy8 in not only making a very usable and easy to understand chart, but doing so in a Windows Phone Metro UI style.
